Many adults wake at night, we are just better at going back to sleep.

Need more info hun! Do you get up with her when she gets up 4 or 5 times a night? Does she just get up, and is ready to go?
My daughter is the same way although she has a problem going to sleep. It all started when she was asleep, woke up and daddy was getting off work. And he let her stay up and relax with him. And now she expects that to happen. So now, we are being consistent and everytime she gets up, we pick her up, not saying a word and put her back in her bed. We have to do it like 15 times, but she gets the idea now that she can't keep on getting up. Just be consistent, and put her back to bed, she will soon get the hint! Good Luck!

Depends on what your reaction is when she wakes.... Do you run right in and pat her or talk to her until she goes back to sleep? Or do you go in, reassure her that she is ok, say goodnight, and go back out before she is asleep again. The second method is what I suggest for a peaceful night. If you put tons of energy into making sure that she is asleep before you leave the room, she wakes, notices you aren't there and freaks. If you leave the room, and she is aware of you leaving the room before she puts herself to sleep, it gives her a sense of security. If you sneak out after she falls asleep, then she wakes wondering what happened to you, and is insecure. Try putting her to bed with the same routine each night (bath, story, kisses, water, goodnight), maybe a little back rub to settle her down once you have put her in her bed, and walk out BEFORE she is asleep. If she wakes at night, go in, reassure her that you are still around, lay her back down, cover her up, give her a little pat, and leave again before she is asleep. By teaching her to put herself to sleep, you will gain the peace you seek.

I know this may sound like a silly question but have you done anything different to her room? like change the room she was use to sleeping in or move into another place.. changed her crib to a different one?? our daughter is the same age and when we switched her room, she had a hard time sleeping... Little ones have a hard time with change and when change accures it tends to keep them up at nights... Hope that helps ya hun...
