I know that Latino is not a "race", but a culture, (ppl. have jumped down my throat before about that)..but is this true? My friend is Mexican and she's from here and occasioanally she might get critical if she sees a really good-looking Hispanic/Latino guy with a non-Hispanic girl. I know that Latin people really value their culture, but do they frown at interracial dating? I am just curious.

Not at all. I am very light skinned and I date a Dominican guy. We experience racism but not ever from Latinos, even though I am super white. I have never had a problem with his friends dating white girls, but once this black woman at a club tried to fight me because she was going off about how a black man didn't belong with white bread. She had no idea that we were both Hispanic, and I talked it out with her and she ended up hugging me. The fact is, if a latin guy is dating a girl who can't speak the language, can't bachata or merengue or salsa, and is more into white castle than chilaquiles, that is his business. The only time I have ever been hated on (other than that hilarious drunk woman at the club) was in Chile, when some chilean girl followed me in a mall and said "Ay una blanca" just because I was so light skinned, and I was with a Mexican university friend. So I turned around and said, "Ay una blanca, una blanca, mas blanca como la espuma del mar, y que, vaca?" ("Oh it's a white girl, a white girl, whiter than the foam of the ocean, and??? You cow?") and it shut her up. If this is about you, ignore whatever girls say because racism knows no boundaries and neither does love. People are just ignorant.

No at all..I am latin and I am always dumping latino guys doesn't tat make sense to you? Well let me tell you race, color, language doesn't matter if a person is crazy doesn't matter...I know white male s that are just the way you describe a crazy person...So don't judge all latin people the same it goes for everyone that is totally crazy...

Don't know. I haven't yet met a Latin man that I have chemistry with. Then again, I live in an area with little diversity.

Some people believe that you should only be with people from your own ethnic background...so when it comes to their culture, they get ticked off. Other people just want to keep the good lookers for them and it is just jealousy. It could happen in any culture.
