It's a sony cyber-shot 5.1 megapixels. The lens was out to take a picture when it fell and I caught it between my knees. It jammed the lens, so it won't go in or out now. I would have to mail it in for repair, not sure how much it all would cost.

I say have it repaired unless cost is too much. I also have a CyberShot. I thought they were break proof. I thought they MIGHT break if dropped from 40 story building, haha. I shouldn,t be so funny. After purchasing it 2 1/2 months ago I droped mine 3 feet on living room floor, luckily it's carpeted. It's ok. Again in your case MAYBE it would be cheaper getting it repaired.
If Tom Tom is correct......get a new one.

well, you could just get a new lens, it might be cheaper, or you could take it to the nearest repair shop, see what they could do for you, it may be more expensive to replace it, so id look at replacing the lens or fixing it first. good luck!! :)

A lot of times the person behind the counter at camera shops know how to fix them. It could be something simple, or if you have the same luck I have, it could be expensive. Good luck.
