The name of someone doesn't make a difference. I have heard worse names then Russel. Names can be changed at anytime. So don't worry about it. If you like his personality and his "looks" then you should go for it no one cares about names. What if he didn't like you because your name was Mary. Just go out with him. If I were you I would. How would YOU feel, if someone thought you were cute, available and YOU really like them, BUT thought YOUR name is pretty lame? Unfair, isn't it? BTW, what is it about the name Russell that you find unattractive?
Now, I'd understand if his last name was something like Butts or Dick. It really takes alot of love to marry someone with that last name. I've come across women who married them despite that last name...
But to answer your question...GO FOR IT!

Ha , I know someone named Russell. Anyways,I think that if you like him,his name shouldn't matter.If you like him but have a real problem with the name Russell, just give him a nickname,I think someone already said Russ,but that's what I was going to say.

Yeah, if you like him his name shouldn't stop you! Go for it. You can call him by his last name, or middle name. Or call him Russ, or some other nickname you can give him. It's hard to find someone who likes you and you like back, so don't let him get away for something that petty.

Yes, you should. You shouldn't let his name stop you. My friend likes this guy and his name is Jamie and she isn't letting his name stop her (It is a girl name) She really likes him and the only thing stopping her is that he is almost 3 years older then her. I realize you didn't want my story but I thought it would help. If you like him and all you should go for him. Like I said don't let his name stop you :]
