to end Man's wickedness? Is that the best solution He could come up with? Did He think long and hard about it? Did He float the idea with the angels before implementing it? Wouldn't an eviction notice have served the same purpose?

It's clear that of the gods, the god the Father character is one of the most imbalanced.

In the bible it, suggests that it's followers have none of the other gods before it. Isn't that admitting it isn't the only so called god?

The OT god smites cities on whims, clearly insane.

It puts one of it's followers through a hellish existence on a bet.

Isn't passover a celebration of the avoidance of one of this gods bloodiest plans?

Since this maniacal deity killed off it's kid, we are lucky that it faded away. Is it golfing with Zeus and Odin, or is it just a big fat lie?

I go with it being fabricated by the imagination of the ancients.

The first prophecy in the bible is at Gen. 3:15 . "And I shall put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise you in head and you will bruise him in the heel." Jesus was bruised in the heel, it was not a fatal wound, he was resurrected 3 days later, Satan will be bruised in the head, which is a fatal wound with no chance of living again.

Jehovah is a righteous and just God and since Adam was a perfect man, it took another perfect man Jesus, God's son to pay the ransom for what Adam lost.

Satan called God a liar and questioned his right to rule. If God had just destroyed Satan then, the questions would not have been answered and doubt could have linger in the minds of the angels and humans. However, God has allowed Satan and man to rule for 1000's of years. And they have proven that they can not rule themselves. The world is in a mess. We need God's Kingdom to rule the earth.

God's purpose for man and the earth as not changed and it will be fulfilled.

The Salvation of mankind was the plan of God the Father and God the Son, Jesus, They both were aware of this plan since the fall of mankind, that is why there is so many prophets in the OT. Each one tells of the coming of the Messiah to save mankind. It was under Adam that all men fell into the sin nature and it was through Christ that all mankind was saved through His perfection and sacrifice. It is a free gift from God for you today. Live under Adam and die or live under Christ and live.

According to fundamentalists, it took him 4000 years to realize that he'd messed up. One would think that after the fall an omniscient (or even a moderately cognizant) being would realize that people were not going to follow any commandments to the letter. How much better for the human race if god had incarnated himself as Abel, been slain for our sins by Cain, and been able to forgive humans for all time.

Its comparable to Tragic Greek drama whereby the Gods could bring about the hero's downfall by sending suffering and evil. The hero's destiny and ambition was to display courage and to live a life of glory which climaxed in a great and noble death.

God transcends time, so He doesn't think the same way we do. The plan of salvation was formed before the foundation of the world. God doesn't need anyone to counsel Him. His ways are perfect.

I want no part of an omnipotent god who finds torture and death a viable solution to a self-created problem.

He sent His only begotten son to be sacrificed for the goodness of all mankind in hopes more would come to Him in faith.
