Atheists and Agnostics, I'm curious, from an objective point of view is there a Christian denomination that makes more sense to you than the others?

Which would you join and why?

I'm surprised how many "none" and "non-Christian church" answers I am getting. Please read the question carefully.

No offense, but that's a silly question, since Christianity is based upon the belief in a god, and atheists believe they don't exist.

No, none of the Christian denominations make sense, so I wouldn't join any of them. I could never worship a drowning and slaughtering God who commands his followers to hurt and kill others, even if he really existed. If I ever needed a god, and believed they existed, I would pick from the thousands of others who aren't so nasty.

No, there's no Christian denomination I'd want to join.

If I have to join SOMETHING, I choose the Church of Reality.

Not really, at least to me, because they are basically the same basic belief, just with different details.
As for which one i would join, it probably be Unitarian, becasue from what i understand they are the most accepting and liberal of the Christian denominations.

I guess it would be cheating to answer Unitarian Universalist, since UUism welcomes people of all faiths and philosophies, including Christians and atheists. An atheist wouldn't have to change his views or practices a bit.

An atheist could never be a member, because you have to be a believer to be a member. Maybe an atheist would prefer to attend the most liberial church of all, where anything goes!

You are confused with what the Christian church is...There is only ONE true Christian church. And they are simply the ones who believe in Jesus.
People = the Church of Christians

Unitarian Universalism. It's very liberal and accepts a wide range of religious thought. I'm agnostic but my friend's father is a UU minister and I've gone to some services. It's very cool and welcoming. And open.

Ive recently studied with "jehova's witnesses" and find that they preach and print litterature in over 306 languages, they believe fully on what the bible says,,,and follow in the footsteps of what jesus tell's everyone to do,,,door to door work, to love you're neighbor as youreself and to love you're brothers worldwide,,,there are no divisions in their minnistry, they do not follow the "doctrines of men" that JESUS warns us about,,,and are deddicated to the good news of the kingdom of god that will end all suffering,,that jesus told his deciples to do...and last but not least it's governing body is made up of "overseers" who without pay take turns with the worldwide organization of brothers take turns running the affairs of the minnistry and operations,,,in addition they provide living quarters for the overseer's when it is their duty to oversee the governing body,,because there are so many overseers,,,,,and they do all of this without worldwide prejudice,,of any color, creed, national background, and or current faith,,,,,,it is true they dont believe in holiday's because they are not found in the scriptures,,,,and they do disfellowship on the grounds of addultry,,but this is not a perminant ordeal for by reproof and by non association of other members can move them to repentance and re-instatement,,,,,they are not a lawless religion,,they believe fully in what "jesus christ" done for us,,,and follow his lead through his father jehova god whom we should worship psalms 83;18............................................

Via Negativa Christian mysticism. At least this seeks actual experience of something beyond rather than dwelling on superficial words.
