Congratulations..See if your school has some kind of financial aid program. But don't be discouraged if you have to go to a public school. There are plenty of students that go to public school and get into great colleges and lead great lives later on. And many are able to find scholarships and grants to pay for schooling as well.

Consider getting a part time job. When are you supposed to start at this new school? If it's not until next September, then there is plenty of time for you to get an after-school job and work over the summer. If your dad can put in some over time and you work too, I'm sure you can manage to come close to the $8000. Also ask the school, based on your circumstances, if they can figure out a payment plan for you.

Contact their financial aid office about additional scholarships or grants. Go to the library and look up grants.

It sounds like you are headed to college regardless - this option may just not be realistic for you unless maybe you have a rich uncle?

Ask the High School about financial aid. You are surely not the first student that's had trouble paying.

Congratulations on being accepted. Are there student loans available in your area? (ie: Pell grants, etc.)

Request financial aid. If there is none available, ask your family members to help.

do you have a guidance counselor at your school? talk to him/her to see what he/she has to offer.
