There is no real official way to do that. Most likely you will have to check with the newspapers to see if the police are seeking information about certain things that happened and see if they are in your neighborhood.

You might try your local crimestoppers or TIPS organization and see if they have anything like that they can tell you.

TIPS and the cops more than likely won't tell you because it might let people that are commiting crimes know that they cops are onto them and they may go into hiding.

I am not sure about suspicious crime, but you can keep an eye on sexual predators.
