kinda hard to doubt the historical accuracy of the Old Testament. Those books said where, when, and how of Jesus' birth. If you need some evidence for the historical accuracy, check out
Evidence for Christianity: Josh McDowell
He has a whole section just on historical accuracy of the OT.

Wow. A good question. Add "become Baptized" to accepting the divinity and teaching of Jesus" and I might be persuaded to say "yes".
However, there are several places in "the teachings of Jesus" where He speaks of the Old Testament (commenting on Jonah, saying that he came not to abolish the Law or the Prophets, but to fulfill) and HE certainly believed in it....so - it does seem a little contradictory to me.

I became a Christian without reading most of the OT, in fact, after reading just a few verses it rather scared me. However, I accepted Jesus and read the NT. I have recently become interested in the OT, because it tells the story of the fallen state of mankind, the prophets telling us of the coming Messiah. The beauty of the Psalms, and the wisdom of Proverbs. I find since studying the Bible my understanding of God the Father has grown and my fears are subsiding. Check out ttb.org, good Bible study and you will learn much.

yes. See many people make the mistake of confusing the old testament and the new testament together. However, The New Testament was written before the coming of Christ. Before there was another way to redeem themselves by just asking instead of having to sacrifice animals. A lot changed in the New Testament and therefore that is the laws you should obey. God made the laws in the Old Testament for their day and that was before God sent His son Jesus to die on the cross and to pay for our sins. Also we are allowed to talk with God and He will talk with us. However back then, they had to go meet with a priest and he brought their needs to God and paid atonement for their sins, but now Jesus closed that gap and we can have a personal one on one relationship with God.

well, theres a common misconception about the old testament
alot of times you here thing that sound like they just magestically happened:
In exodus when moses raised his staff and the waters parted, most movies portray it as the water was split in half, NO
God works through nature, and the waters were likely split from a tsunami triggered by a earthquake that god caused, likely to happen just when the israelites were crossing the sea? No
but god did it
so the old testament is real, and you have to believe it, b/c its gods word

No. They go together. The old testament prophesies about Jesus coming. The old & new testaments were both inspired by God. You are just half believing.

Here is Christianity : To place your trust in Jesus Christ alone for Salvation.
Doubt if the Bible is true is another thing.
One thing about it, your doubts does not mean it is true.
I did not believe a lot of what the Bible says at FIRST but it does not mean it is not true. I do believe everything the Bible says is true even if I personally sometimes have trouble understanding it all.
But ultimately it is where you place your trust.
