Chocolate, gourmet flavored coffee, sterling silver earrings (reasonably priced and beautiful--check out independent shops to get really unique ones), framed picture of you and your mom, or you and siblings, flowers in a pretty vase.
I'm particularly fond of getting my mom chocolate and earrings, but you can really mix and match from the list to suit any budget.
