He can't stop talking about how much he weighs and that he is overweight. How do I make him realize that his weight does not bother me. When I am honest, he thinks I am just being nice and considerate. I am not. I truly don't care about his weight. How do I make him realize this fact.

I am thin

Uh Hello.....the question was not.."how do I encourage my boyfriend to lose weight"

The question is "what exactly do I say to him to make him realize that I am not just being polite by saying that I don't care about his weight"

When me and my wife first starting dating I was 6'3 285 lbs and she is 5'0 105 and still is today. I complained about being fat and she was just supportive until she finally told me to stop whining and do something about it. Tell him that you love him the way he is but if he feels that he needs to lose some weight ask him to work out with you and if he doesnt tell him not to complain because hes not doing anything to fix the problem. Just so you know im 25 and shes 24 and we started dating when i was 18 now im 220 - 225 and I still complain but now she just tells me to stop complaining.

I am overweight and am currently dieting to lose some pounds. Although you may not care if your boyfriend is overweight, HE may care. If he wants to lose weight, let him. If you think he may be doing it dangerously, then bring up your concerns, but allow him to do what he wants with his body and support his decision.

You should walk with him or join a health club together if he is uncomfortable. It is not about how much you weigh on a scale it is how you feel about yourself.

Maybe it doesn't matter what you say, and he is struggling with this issue for himself.

ask him if he needs your help to get fit.... if he dont want your help tell him to do it himself... if he dont tell him to stop whining and put the chocolate cake down.
