No. Being a soulmate has very little to do with physical attraction or contact. I think you are looking for a different term--like companion or compatible sex partner or something like those.
Being a soulmate involves having a lot of commonalities in your relationship, a comfort level which allows you to discuss anything comfortably, complete trust, affection,friendship, devotion,and, among other things, a mutual caring. I have a soulmate who is female and, technically, young enough to be my daughter. So, I don't think you can yet know whether or not this person is your soulmate.

A hug is an affectionate gesture which can speak volumes no doubt but whethr you can meet your soul mate through it is quite doubtful. Personal experience tells me that a soul mate need not make an extra effort to make you feel special and therein a simple thing like hug plays a vital role. A hug which is warm, fuzzy and the person hugging you makes you feel secure at the same time the hug lasts for a substantial amount of time without wanting to let you go is surely a sign that he is much more than a good friend. However, a soul mate would never make you feel he/ she wants to possess you by hugging you too tight, but comfortably snug, giving you room enough to let off your grip when you wish to.
Thus if someone who may hug you such, you may be assured that you have good times coming your way with such a loving person to fill your life with the beautiful colors of everlasting love.

Well.....If you hug someone and fireworks go off, then there's definitely something there. We can't know if it's your soul mate yet . After a few dates and getting to know more you may develop more feelings and decide yessss this IS my soul mate. Or you may decide your just mutually attracted. Give it a bit of time to see where it goes.

I think you can sense a real connection from a hug, but not necessarily a soulmate. Maybe you should talk to this person and try to get to know them.

NO!!!!! THIS JUST MEANS THAT A HUG IS A HUG UNLESS YOU HAVE GOTTEN TO KNOW THIS PERSON LIKE, GOOD AND BAD. MOST OF ALL THE TRUE PERSONALITY WHICH REALLY KICKS IN AFTER A REAL DISAGREEMENT.

yes it's possible,i believe in that kind of thing very much,i met mine and i just heard his voice over the telephone,and i just had to meet the person that belonged to the voice.and we have been together for a year now.

yes. this guy that i would see around the school slowly became my friend. one day out of nowere we huged and when he did he picked me up and held me. from that sec on i knew he was my ture mach. that was almost 2 years ago and we been together almost 2 year.

You sure can, I met mine from wayyyy across a room. So, I stalked him until he noticed me, then he stalked me and then we found each other and that was 19 years ago!
