Plain? With diamond accents? How many? Any suggestions? I'll be purchasing from http://www.bluenile.com.

I thought I'd prefer a plain band too, but when I tried one next to my three-stone ring, it looked awful. For me, it's impossible to get a good idea of what will work looking online, so we went to several jewelry stores and tried a few diff styles. Then we went home and purchased the ring on the internet.

Congratulations.

I'd go with a plain band with a three stone engagement ring. It's cheaper and I think it looks more classy than showing off with a bunch of diamonds on your finger. Plus, it will make the stones on your ring stand out more if the band is plain.

Plain band with small diamond would look nice. Just don't over do it.... I ran into a girl I went to college with and she though she was soo great and flashed her rings- it was 3 round stones and then she had a band of all these diamonds underneath- it just looked so tacky. It looked like something that was purchased from avon.

I love the "star" style- it's a knock off of Tiffany's... they have it on blue nile.

Either plain, or like mine - have three stones to match the shoulder stones on my engagement ring. Other option is a small chevron, just for a different look. I got one with little diamonds for the 10th anniversary, but it could be an accompanying wedding band.
In a way, plain is nice, because then it's nice to wear alone.

Speaking on a purely artistic and visual level, I would do a wrap-around with two bands. (He'll only put one on your finger during the wedding though.)

Having more diamonds on one band will throw off the balance of things. The 3-stone ring should stand out, and having two bands will make it more centered. Then, since it is balanced and centered, you can add stones to the bands if you like, as long as they're balanced.

Search for "wedding ring guard" or "wedding ring wrap" for what I'm talking about. I've included a link as an example.

I'd get a band with diamonds..in the same shape is the 3 stones on engagement ring. either that or a plain band....whichever you prefer!

you have good taste, I think those are great together. it's always best for the stones in the band to match the shape of the stones in the e-ring. make sure you go into the store and hold those 2 rings next to each other to make sure that band fits well against the e-ring setting though. my rings are a set that were made to go together, but those rings are not.

I have a 3-stone ring also and my fiancee bought a plain band to go with it. He asked a jewelers advice on what would look nice with the ring and they picked one out based on the band thickness of the engagement ring. I would ask a jeweler first and then look for it on the website.

I agree, a plain band would look better.
