I feel so silly asking this question but anyway here it goes.

I just curious about this guy that I work with, I never really paid him any attention. He's a loan officer handling one of my clients. I saw him in the break room this morning and I spoke to him but he didn’t say nothing. So I was oh well. Anyway, I was preparing my coffee and out of nowhere he started talking told me that he got a comitment from my customer to work with us. So he told me that he worked til 11pm last night. I was shocked and he said well his single so he can work hours like that. That took me off guard so I laughed. Anyway, we talked so more about my customer and I went back to my desk.

That was innocent right - reading too much in to that?

It sounds pretty innocent. But if he continues with more small talk, which happens to venture in to him asking more personal questions regarding your interest. Then I would say he is interested in more than mutual clients.

hmmm it could go either way. maybe he likes you. just pay attention to what he says in the future. but i do think it is a little suspicious that he menionted he was single, that doesnt come up in normal conversation.
