Can I get an objective view about what you know concerning different religions?

Do any seem more reasonable than others?

Christianity and Islam are right out. They posit infinite punishment for finite error.

Judiasm seems viable -- the problem of evil is resolved by not denying that G-D is capable of all things, and that Satan is not G-D's adversary but the Loyal Opposition. If I had to choose a religion, Judiasm would be a near dead-heat with Asatru for my vote.

Ba'hai is too inclusive -- standing for everything, they fall for anything. Same goes for many non-denominational or universalist churches.

Hinduism has a claim to being one of the oldest religions on the planet and has held together surprisingly well. This would bode well for it. As a descendant of Hinduism, Buddhism inherits this viability as well.

The various ancestor and Tao worships of the orient seem vaguely viable if we are going to posit the existence of an eternal living soul. Animism might be conceived as viable, though it would have the super-exponential growth rate problem -- how many bacteria before the spirit realm was completely overun with the ghosts of bacteria that had died?

Most of the shamanistic religions seem viable as well -- they don't have a problem of evil because they do not posit good and evil, they posit order versus chaos. If I were ever to choose to follow a religion, Asatru would likely get my vote.

I took several Comparative Religions and History of Religion courses, plus I have read the entire Bible multiple times.

Among the religions I studied enough to have an educated opinion, besides atheism, Buddhism seems most reasonable. Wicca and other Pagan religions are very peaceful and contemplative, too. Chrisitianity seems overwhelmingly most immoral.

Thanks for asking.

An objective view of my knowledge?

Umm...

I'd consider myself reasonably well-informed about different religions. I have yet to see a theistic religion that impresses me very much. However, in consideration of the 'how to live your life' part of the religion (as opposed to the 'nature of the divine' part), yes I do think that some offer better and more pertinent outlooks than others. I am attracted mostly to Dharmic religions. They seem to contain lots of good advice.

Non theistic religions seem more reasonable from one point of view. This would include Buddhism and Taoism.

On the other hand, different varieties of theistic religions have reasonable moral codes. I would include liberal Protestantism such as American Episcopalianism here.

In essence, those religions which believe in reason are inherently more reasonable.

Go in peace to love and serve the truth.

I know more about Christianity than I know about the other religions, being raised Christian and all, but I feel that the religions with a strong philosophical foundation are better. That means the less talk there is about gods and faires and what not the better. Unless of course the faires and gods are merely used in a symbolic sense.

I've researched the evolution of religious thought from primitive tribal, to Eastern, Western, Native American, New age, Cult development, and the psychology of belief on a university level. All in all six different college courses.

None of them are reasonable.

I have looked into a few just to understand them. No point in having a discussion about religion and being unarmed.

Buddhism is reasonable to me in that it is inclusive to most beliefs. You can take your personal spirituality to Buddhism and be faithful to both.

Ancient ones make more sense than the newer ones - meaning more than 2500 years old. Even worshiping the sun makes more sense than some of the christian religions.

They're all completely loony. However, some threaten eternal torture, some forbid leaving them, some denounce science, some persecute certain groupst; there are different levels of evil there.

Buddhism seems almost completely benign.
