My daughter has an assignment to find the name of a Japanese military base in Japan, and the name of the city it is located in. I have found U.S. military bases in Japan, but have had no luck with Japanese bases. If you could help, thank you so much!!!

there is a Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force base in Yokosuka, directly across the wan(bay) from Yokosuk Naval Base.

have her look under Japanese Self Defense Forces in Google or Yahoo search.

Japan has no military...Its a "Self Defence Force". After World War 2 Japan was restricted from having military except for self defence. All of the military bases in Japan are USA.

In okinawa there is a military base. It was under U.S. control, but it was given to the Japanese pretty recently. Try web searches concerning Okinawa and the Japanese Defence forces.

There is the JGSDF Central force head office in Itami, Japan.
The North East Army HQ in in Sendi, Miyagi
