Awesome question.

no, but that doesn't mean they can influence the child's decision.

salvation is ALWAYS a personal decision between you and God. Basically it's saying, "I believe in you, I confess I have made mistakes, I need you, and I am willing to let you have your will in my life, every part of it"

I grew up a good 3/4 of my life in Church.

I knew ABOUT Jesus, but I didn't KNOW Jesus.

I have a REAL relationship with Jesus now.

You are not simply born into the faith, everyone must come to have an expierience with God to be saved.

"Except a man be born again he cannot enter the kingdom of God"

Dear Friend,

No, the child is not saved. One cannot do anything to earn salvation. For one to be saved, the LORD had to choose them to salvation before the world was even created. Then the LORD had to pay their sin debt by spending the equivalent of an eternity in hell. Then the LORD had to give them a new ressurected soul in which they have a love for God and desire to be odedient to His word.

Given the statement, a child is not saved merely because its parents are.

However, that doesn't mean it will not enter into eternity either.

No, we are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.

My Dad is not saved, my Mom is...that would make me bi? screwed? 6 months in heaven, 6 moths in hell?

Nope, it's my choice where I'll spend eternity.

NO, Each person must come to Christ on their own. God has children, but no grandchildren. Each person is held accountable for their own belief or non belief
