i've been skinny all my life, and its not because i don't eat...trust me...i'm an eating MACHINE and yet i gain little to no weight at all...i currently weigh no more than 115 pounds
i would really like to have more muscle tone in my chest region, espeically the lower....you can almost see some of my ribs...any suggestions?

my dad has always told me to do push ups
and i do them every now and then....how exactly do those help, if at all?

Yeah, I can help ya. First off, you may be an eating machine, but you might not be eating right. Since your 17 and 115, you should count your calories. Try eating protein foods like meet and eggs. Also, it isn't a bad idea to take a protein shake, such as ON Whey Protein (strawberry is my favorite). Take one shake a day. Also, drink water, not pop or anything else really. Your calories should be about 2700 a day if you want to gain weight and safely. And you should work out anywhere from 3-6 days a week. But don't forget your cardio. You should do cardio after you workout so you have a better workout session. Workout for about an hour and a half to two hours, everytime you are at the gym. Cardio for about 20-3 minutes. When you workout, pyramid your weights at first. So here is my advice to mass...

Day One - Chest, Tri, Ab
Day Two - Legs, Shoulders
Day Three - Bi, Back, Forearm, Ab

Do 10 reps with a lighter weight, then 8 reps with a heavier, then 6 reps with heavier. (gradually put more weight on)

Cardio - 20-30 min each day

Water
Protein - 50 grams each day

Within a couple weeks you should be gaining weight nicely. After about 4-5 weeks with this, change your reps. Do 10 reps of the weight you were doing with 6 reps. It will be easier after 4-5 weeks. Don't add weight during those weeks, just switch up the reps. So after about 10 weeks go back to 10, 8, 6 and then higher the weight. You will be good to go. The more you workout the more you will know what to work out. This should be a good start for you!!!!

Eat lots of penut butter, and try weight training. I am so envious of you! Also try eating alot of dairy, milk and cheese have a tendancy to slow your metabolic rate.

take more brevages rather than coffe, eat more fatty food,no smoking, then rest alot,be patient you'll get fat as time goes on
