In fact why did god's plan for the world fail in such a bad way that he had to resort to mass murder to fix it? Indeed why did his plan fail in The Garden of Eden?

Seems like good is not much of a planner.

The wicked people were destroyed off the earth. However, Satan and his demons were not destroyed. Satan is the ruler of this world, so with his influence, it did not take long for unrighteous people to show their faces. Rev. 12:12 "Woe for the earth and to the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time."

Humans also have inherited sin from Adam.

Jesus compared Noah's day to our day. People's attitudes are the same. The violence is even on a grander scale. Just as in Noah's day only the wicked will be destroyed at Armageddon, not the earth. The difference will be that Satan will be abyssed for 1000 years and after that he will be destroyed forever. Rev. 20: 1 -3 & 10 Humans will grow to perfection and no longer be slaves to sin. Death will be no more. Rev. 21: 3 & 4

Well, in the beginning God made Adam and Eve good. But by the time of Noah, people had become evil, because we were given freee will and because there are too many temptations. People were not strong enough to resist temptation. And although God flooded the earth, he left us free will, so we continued to make mistakes although he gave us a second chance

Hi there, good question. The answer is that the evil seed that Satan planted in Adam still remained in Noah and his family. Noah was not a born again, like we can be today today, so there was still a remnant of unrighteousness. Also we aren't given to much details about his families state of righteousness so that could be a factor.

Two things. I think Noah was not the only one spared, but he is the only one who was written about. And God did spare enough people to rehabit the world once again. with Free will, God gives us the choice to be good, or pay the consequences, like your mom and dad did for you. They didn't lock you up in the basement for all your life, they let you make your own choices, but they told you what the consequences would be. So when man gets to wicked, by his own doing, then God steps in and cleanses the world, so that the rest of man can go on living. If He didn't do this, the world would be destroyed eventually anyway, by stupid mankind. Look at where we are now. We are able to completely destroy all life on this planet. And we will, because we are just stupid enough to do it. We are destroying it with our pollution, our waste and to top that off, soon with our atomic weapons in an all out war. So don't be surprised when God once again, intervenes....

Because Satan is still among us and mans nature is to sin. Therefore the world is returning to the same kind of evil as before the flood. Makes you wonder how long He'll continue to sit back and watch us before He brings forth the promises He left us in Revelations.

He flooded the earth to get rid of those whose thoughts were evil continuously.
He said that He would never do that again.
If it were not for His promise to Noah, He probably would do it again, as there are alot of people whose thoughts are evil continuously today.

I think it had more to do with wiping the earth clean of the evil progeny of "sons of Gods" and daughters of men. Nephilim.

I don't think it was to get rid of evil. Humans have a sin nature because of the fall of Adam and Eve. So, to do so would mean he would have to kill every human, which technically, was his judgement.

However, he had mercy on us and decided to save our unworthy hides through Jesus.

Because our carnal nature still has sin, so even though the ones saved in the arc were walking with God, the people that came in generations after didn't.

Today, Christians are in the arc of salvation, but many still are on the outside, not understanding that the rain is still falling.

Because flooding the Earth is like cleaning a window - you always miss a few spots.

Interesting responses: "people went back to their evil ways" "because we have atheists and evil is an absence of God" HA HA HA!

Ok, then - why did God create atheists?
Why did God create people to be "naturally" evil?
If evil is the absence of God, show me where God is in my computer mouse/coffee cup/car (or is my mouse/cup/car inherently evil because it was not created by God?)

Sheesh. Think a little bit, folks!
