Yes they did, the 1974-78 Mustang II's were considered one of the worst era of Mustang's but i think the ugliest Mustang's were the 1979-82 models, they were gutless and not very reliable cars, they did get better in 1983 and the I really liked the 1987-93 Mustangs, they were very fast and powerful cars (if you've gotten the V8 engine).

Best years were 64-70 and the newest style. Worst were the Mustang II, but believe it or not, those are starting to be collectible

I didnt like the late 70's early 80's but by 85 they were pretty hot. My father in law had an 87 with T-tops and the 5.0 in it, man it was fast! I like the new retro models too.... my wife had a 96 that was black, what a sweet car!!

Not really, there were always so many options you could really deck them out, my least favorites would be the 74 and 80, but with the right wheels and trim added , they looked much better. the fastback and Cobras were the best looking in the 70's and the SVO and GT's were the best of the 80's :)

imo: the last year that Mustangs looked good was 1970.Don't even get me started on the 1974 thru 78,which was built on a Pinto chassis.

Yes, the '74-'78 were pretty ugly. All of the other years were varying degrees of "cool".
