Sex doesnt matter. What matters is ones experience, technique, and background (schooling)... What they specialize in whether it be Barbering or Barber/Cosmetology! I prefer cutting men's hair over females anyday and I am actually better at men's haircuts! I rock at color more than anything else tho! That is just my personal opinion! Don't worry ladies... i myself (being a licensed stylist) never received a quality cut from a female either... but I also havent had a man cut my hair since I was little! Most the men I worked with in the past were color specialists!

i havent been lucky enough to get a guy to cut my sons hair but i had a woman do it and she ruined it. waiting to grow out to fix errs. his bang are lopsided you tell her to some what bowl cut his hair and show her she says ok then gives him a military haircut? very unpleased. so when it grows out i will give a guy a try and see if he'll ruin it lol.

whoever has a liscence and is a fantasic barber...thats sexist if you choose one sex over the other because of a skill....my grandmother was the first woman in Columbus, OH to earn her barber liscence and work in an all male barbershop....she had to break down a lot of barriers because she was a woman...and not just woman but a beautiful, lightskinned black woman, who was tooken seriously because of her skills and not just because she was nice to look at.
