Where is there a good place on the web for serious questions about the Word? I feel attacked every time I read this board I know this is good because We will be persecuted for our beliefs. But this site is by choice so do we stay and keep feeling this way, or should we all spend time with like minded people. Do you ever feel that you have reached anyone from here?

No. I feel the internet is too distant. Just as God wants a personal relationship with us, we would have to have a personal relationship with someone, (or one developing) in order to 'reach' anyone.

Sorry, I don't know any other place on the web because I am not much of a message board seeker. You know?
I haven't been coming to Yahoo! Answers long but when I'm here, I feel challenged to try to answer these touph questions people have out there. And my heart hurts for these people who are so lost and struggling.

The only thing I can suggest at this time is doing a web search with the key words "prayer request" and check out what comes up, you might find a church that has a place to ask some questions, or you might just have to give them your request through the prayer request input asking if they know of a place or can help you them selves.

You might look for places you can phone in your request, that way you can talk to a person and explain what you are looking for.

God be with you.

Why run from serious debate, are you afraid that you might be wrong? Yes there are some jerks on both sides, but if you can't argue for your religion, maybe you should start questioning it. I feel I don't know any/all of the answers, but I'm pretty sure Christians don't have it, I found out about 100 loopholes in Christianity.

I'm not trying to get you to give up God, just have an open mind, is that too much to ask? I tried Christianity, it wasn't for me.

If you feel you are being persecuted on this site, you need a reality check and you don't know what actual, real persecution is. So people laugh and are sarcastic? Surely that doesn't qualify as persecution.

Yes I have reached many people and have had it confirmed by the comments that they give when they choose my answer as best. It is a very good way to glorify our Lord. As for the Christian bashers; well we have to expect it because Jesus warned us about it. You should not let it get you down.
There are a few good places you can go for answers.

Also, if you have a bible question, you can just google it.

Try links from Christian Research Institute, Focus on the Family, Christian Apologetics Research Ministry, RBC - and remember, we are to be the light in the darkness, the salt of the earth. We are here to pull weeds and plant seeds - who knows what harvest may result in the end?

stand to reason, is an awesome site, and has answered so many of my questions! There are links there also, even opposing viewpoints, to search out things. Good luck, and don't put too much weight into this answers site on the big things.

First of all as CHRISTIANS we will be persecuted for our belief in CHRIST... JN 15:20-Gal 6:12-2Tim 3:12 If you can come to a realization of this fact and know that it is Biblical, you can also expect CHRIST to bring you through it with peace in your spirit as you trust him to get you through it. See Jeremiah 17:7-8.
Secondly if you are going to experience "victorious Christian living", you are going to have to learn to master your feelings...
(for the just shall live by faith 2Cor 5:7. also see Prov 25:28)
Feelings are manipulated by the evil one through circumstances that happen in our life... and all the trials and tribulations that we experience this side of heaven.
As for questions about the word you should first go to the word itself...when I received CHRIST 10 yrs ago I jumped into the word with both feet... I went to the family book store to get a bible and I felt that the LORD led me to the New Living translation. I prayed for guidance and the HOLY SPIRIT led me through the scriptures revealing truth to me as I prayerfully sought HIM. (See Jn14:26)
and (1JN 2:27). As for reaching anyone here... our job is to proclaim JN 3:16 to the lost world...GOD will do the convincing part..
Hang in there sister... keep on keepn on in CHRIST!
PS If you have questions I will be happy to do my best to answer them, feel free to e-mail me, also read the battle field of the mind by Joyce Myers you won't be disappointed...GOD BLESS YOU AND LEAD YOU INTO TRUTH
