I agree with you. It's a girl event. Some people don't understand that! When we threw my sister hers we put in the invitations "Come have fun with just the girls" trying to hint for no one to bring their husbands....and we had a horrible turn out. It was pathetic. It showed who was there to be a friend and who would have came for the food and stuff. So I would def. be careful on how to handle the situation so you wont offend your friend. Good Luck!

Usually it is only for women, but there are sooo many great and fun party ideas for both sexes at a baby shower. Just google baby shower games or ideas to get ideas. And don't worry...if the mom to be has a good time, then that's what really counts. And, not to mention, it is her party. Pregnancy can be tough on the moods, so just indulge her. But i have been to a party with both there, and we all had a good time. DON'T FORGET THE DIAPER CAKE!!!

Traditionally, it is supposed to be all women and girls. But we live in a different day and age now, and I don't see anything wrong with men attending also, especially if he is the father. It is the celebration of bringing another human being into the world and he IS half responsible for doing so. I say, let him come, and dont make it a big deal.

My best friend had her husband there at her babyshower, and then the rest were all girsl. She wanted her husband there, and he wanted to be there. Theres nothing wrong with that. Her mom even got him a baby shower gag gift. It was a tool belt with all baby stuff, and gloves and a nose pin and funny things. Its your friends babyshower, so let her have her babys father there. No big deal, your not breaking any baby shower rules.
