Owls don't really hate the crow, however they would gladly eat one if given the opportunity. Crows are scavengers. Crows like to follow the owls around and pick up after them. Many times you will see crows and others smaller birds chasing hawks and owls on the wing. They are waiting for the leftovers!

Crows are very territorial and will chase away any predatory bird in there presence. Potentially an owl could eat a crow, owls with their strength and superior night hunting abilities have been know to kill birds of prey the size of a falcon or cooper's hawk. However, this is not the case for your situation and you should not worry about anything, they are merely being annoying crows.

Owls don't HATE crows as such, they don't go out of their way to attack them or anything. Crows do hate Owls, but they hate all raptors, they attack owls and other birds of prey or ground dwelling predators, even humans. just because they are predators and crows don't want them in their territory. It just so happens that if an owl turns up in a crows territory they will try and see it off as a mob.
We have an owl that will attack crows, but what he doe's is let them dive bomb him, wait till they get too close and do a somersault and catch them in the air. Owls don't do this naturally by the way, it's just Fugly being weird.

It's not just crows. All birds do not like any bird of prey, which an owl is.No bird will tollerate a bird of prey.Large and small birds will mock and harrass a bird of prey until it is out of the area and they dont feel under threat.
