Hi- I would like to begin my wedding plans. We want a beach wedding in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, we are thining April 2008. Does anyone have resort/hotel recomendations? We would like to spend no more than 5K on the entire wedding. We also plan to make this our honeymoon. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Grand Porto Real. My wife and I did the all inclusive and it was totally worth it. We stayed for a week. I don't recall the price but including the flight it was easily under 5k. The nice thing about Playa is you're not confined to the resort. There are plenty of places to go that are within walking distance. 5th ave is like a block away. there are numerous resorts in Playa Del Carmen that would be perfect and should be able to fit your budget. Keep in mind most resorts are all Inclusive so all food and drnk are included in your stay

I recommend the Aventura Spa Palace. My sister did a wedding there and I went there for my honeymoon. It's a great all inclusive resort for adults only. The wedding should be free if you stay for your honeymoon. Congrats!

The Occidental Allegro is great....not sure of the pricing, though.
