Start with a nice fruit salad. Melon, grapes, strawberries, oranges and grapefruit chunks. Some fresh orange juice and coffee (if they are coffee drinkers). Some toasted bagels and put cream cheese and butter into seperate little cups or dishes. Don't serve too much, just make it look nice.

I have a 13 year old daughter and if she'd do this for me one Saturday morning, well I'd probably drop dead with happiness.

Easy microwave omlete in a bowl:

Take 2-4 eggs and break them into a bowl. Mix them with milk and cook them at 1/2 power in the microwave at 30 second to 1minute intervals, keep stirring until eggs are almost cooked. Add cheese. Melt at 1/2 power again.

You can also try mixing cream cheese in the mixture before heating it- it makes it taste more fluffy and cheesey

I think that is a very sweet idea! I also think that anything you make will be wonderful to them. Here's my suggestion...

A small bowl of sliced fruits or even a grapefruit with a little sprinkled sugar.
Waffles.... layer them. Lay 1 waffle down and spread any jam they like, then add another waffle, butter and add syrup.
A small glass of juice and coffee or tea if they like it. Put cream or milk and sugar on the side.

make their place settings cute. Fold their napkins around their silverware, and if you can find a nice center piece around the house, use it.

Butterscotch Toast

Mix softened butter or margarine with brown sugar until nice and creamy.
Spread onto bread slices.
Put under the broiler for about 4-5 minutes until the topping gets hot and gooey.
There you go!

You can toast your bread first in a toaster if you prefer, or just use untoasted bread. The edges will be a little crispy.

That is nice of you to make a meal for your folks.

French toast is always great and easy.
Here is my personal recipe and everyone loves it.

NEED: 2-5 eggs (depending upon how many slices you want to make)
Milk
Vanilla extract
cinnamon
day old bread
Mix the eggs in a bowl until they are blended completely
Then add enough milk to make it creamy and mix
Then mix in 1-2 cap fulls of vanilla and enough cinnamon to taste. Mix well ( I usually add more vanilla because it is my favorite)
Then dip your bread in the mix until both sides are covered, but not too saturated. (Stale bread works best because it holds up better)
Place the bread in the pan (on medium heat, cover pan with pam butter spray before each slice)
Cook until golden brown and turn over and cook the other side until golden brown.
Serve with butter and syrup.
It sounds like a lot more work than it is.
Good Luck.

Hello,
I find this so easy & less clean up-
Poached eggs on toast, side of bacon toped off with morning coffee or juice.

STEP 1.
Place bacon on plate, micorwave until is your liking. Place bacon on paper to soak up grease.

STEP 2.
Put hot water into ceareal bowl (3/4 cups hot tap water), crack 2 eggs into bowl, use a fork poking holes into yolk.
Then place in micorwave for 2 minutes.
While doing that pop bread in toaster.
STEP 3.
Set plate up and serve.

There you have it breakfast is ready to serve :)

Enjoy

I make breakfast burritos for my hubby & son alot, even camping. You'll need:

flour tortillas (larger for burrito sizes)
eggs (about 3 per person)
bacon (have you seen the pre-cooked bacon, no mess!)
potatoes (frozen, cubed or O'brian potatoes)
cheese (grated)

Start by cooking the potatoes in a bit of oil to get them done & a bit crispy. While they are cooking, crack the eggs & beat them in a bowl (like you would for scrambled eggs). When the potatoes are done, pour eggs over them & do as you would scrambled eggs. You can cook the bacon before or if you do the pre-cooked slices, just heat for a couple minutes in the microwave.

Then put a few spoonfuls of egg/potatoes on a warmed up tortilla, add bacon & cheese and hot sauce if you like it a bit spicy and then roll up burrito style!! Very yummy...happy cooking :o)

long, but easy..and super yummy!

mix 1 cup of brown sugar with 1 stick of melted butter
pour into the bottom of a baking dish (9x11)
(you can add more sugar and butter if taste runs on the sweet side)

take half a loaf a bread and cut it into cubes, layer on top of the brown suger mix

mix together 3 eggs, 1 1/2 cups of milk, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla, pour over bread, let sit over night in fridge.

in the morning sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes (till golden brown)

while this is cooking, slice up 1 apple for each person and add to a frying pan with butter( bout 1/2 stick) and brown suger(about 1/4 cup) and cinnamon,(just sprinkle over top) fry till tender but still crisp, serve with the baked french toast..

your parents will never forget this special breakfast :)

don't forget the coffee

Delicious fruit and yogurt smoothies.

I like the following recipe for one serving:
Put 1/8 cup of uncooked oatmeal in the blender and blend it until it is powdery
Add 4 or 5 frozen strawberries and blend
Add a container of strawberry yogurt
Add a spoonful of sugar
Add a cup of milk and blend thoroughly

to make it pretty, pour into a nice glass, add a little Cool Whip to the top and sprinkle with pretty garnishes like you would decorate cookies with. You can even tie a red ribbon around the stem of the glass.

or you can put them in an empty water bottle and you have a fruit smoothie to go!
