Names like Bonshiqua, Lewanda, Dejandre etc.. I think its wrong to burden children with these names as they will go through life with nobody knowing how to spell or pronounce their name and also insulted and ridiculed. Secondly, there is no basis for the existance of these names and if there is, the parents don't realize the historical context in which they were originally granted. Like Greek names given to slaves because the owners thought it would be funny to. Just my opinion, and another thing I hate about our narcissistic. material culture.

a friend of mine is a paramedic, and he has had a few people with made up names, and they have to write them down if possable before they get to hospital, but when they say something along the lines of bonshiqua, and he asks them to spell it, they look really annoyed, which is stupid, so he normally writes something like mary and let the hospital deal with it.

I totally agree. Studies have shown that boys do better with traditional names and girls do well with unique names. I don't think I fully agree with that.
I decided to let my first two children choose if they wanted a traditional name or a unique name so they have common first names and unique middle names. So far, they've all chosen to use the traditional names.

Ummm... in the previous I answer your question, i will remark on your racial retort to what HATERZA stated. He in no way stated something approximately any colorings. Neither black nor white exchange into reported. He exchange into putting forward that judging human beings by using their call is as stupid as judging human beings by using their race. He exchange into not being racist. YOU have been, for assuming he exchange into being racist whilst he wasn't. besides, I do accept as true with you fairly. as much as judging human beings by using their names is stupid, human beings nonetheless do it. we can consistently assume that a Mo'Neek is uneducated, purely like we can consistently assume an Elizabeth to have a undeniable point of classification or classification. it fairly is how the worldwide works. human beings should additionally place greater attention into how common it is for the call to be the undertaking of teasing, or how often the new child could ought to correctly suited human beings on spelling or pronunciation. I consistently attempt to place the (non-existent as of yet) new child first, whilst figuring out on names.

I think uniqueness is ok if that's what you want, but some people go overboard. Ex, Ving Rhames' daughter: Rainbow. Gwenth Paltrow's daughter Apple. Who's that artist, movie guy that named his kids Rocket and Rebel or something like that?

I totally agree. :) The other thing I can't stand is when people take a traditional name and spell it a really strange made-up way with a bunch of extra letters; that's just too sad.

no i do not agree because no matter what your name is some one will find a way to make fun of it or ridicule so why not have a unique name unlike a common name that every one and their brothers have. Like sara or david. Sooooooooo boring

Yes, for example, celebrities name their kids stupid things like Shiloh, or apple, or even coco, this will not affect them that much because they're famous.
