Can dandruff can be cause to hair fall?

Question

I have a oily skin , so dandruff remains stick no my scalp & my hair are too falling, does this dandruff can be its cause . so whether I have to use the shampoo of anti-dandruff or of preventing hair fall to prevent my hair fall. Also suggest me some good shampoo in India.

Yes, Dandruff causes hair fall! To prevent it, use an anti dandruff shampoo. In India, SELSUN is very effective. Use as per instructions and you should be rid of the problem. Once dandruff is gone, your hair fall should reduce unless you have other problems. Dandruff also causes skin problems on neck and back too. So get rid of it as soon as you can!

The dandruff itself cannot cause increased hair loss but the dandruff and hair loss can have the same cause, both often comes with seborrhea (oily, unclear skin), you should use a shampoo that addresses all 3 problems. Here in Germany, there's a brand named Alpecin, don't know if that's available elsewhere but there should be something similar.

No! Who told you this? Dandruff can't cause hair fall! Dandruff is a scalp problem and you can solve it with a good shampoo or a special treatment !

It is possible... and there is no anti-dandruff shampoo which really helps... dandruff comes back again and again.....I guess you should go to the Doctor insted of trying 100 things...

ya. dandruff is basically fungal infection. if not treated, it will damage scalp and susequently result in hair fall. try shampoo with Ketoconazole.nizoral brand is good. avoid dust and other irritants.
