Okay, so both me & my father went on this diet around the same time. My father has been on it for 4 days and has lost 4 pounds so far. I started on Monday. I had a doctors appt that day & the scale said 145lbs. I weight myself today on my scale at home, and I havn't lost a pound. Our scale is 4 pounds off. (you are 4 lbs heavier than the scale says). So after doing the math, I have gained 1 pound. I have been following this diet religiously. Also, I've been dancing and working out once every other day. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong??

don't compare yourself to your father, hun! it's been scientifically proven that men are able to lose weight faster than women. their metabolism is higher and our bodies are just really different. you're not doing anything wrong. :-)
since you have been exercising and dancing, it's possible that you're burning fat but gaining some muscle. muscle is heavier than fat. try not to get too attached to the scale! measure your success by how your clothes fit, how your body feels, if your overall stamina improves, etc. Best of luck to you!

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. Everybody's body sheds and retains weight differently. When I did the cabbage soup diet, I never weighed myself. I guess part of me did not want to be bogged down or discouraged by a stupid set of numbers. Judge the effects of this diet by how you are feeling, not what the scale says. Are your pants looser? Do you have more energy? Do you just feel better in general? Don't worry about the scale, you might just be retaining water more than your father. You could have more sodium in your system, and it just hasn't flushed out yet. Who knows in a few days you might see a big change. Stick with it, whether the pounds come off or not at least you are making a change in your health! That's enough to be proud of!

Every one hits a plateau. Some persons's plateau will final longer than others. It's simply all aspect of wasting weight. Instead of attempting the cabbage soup nutrition (as so much fad diets are dangerous and will intent muscle loss) you wish to combine matters up a little bit. Try workout at one more time of day or one-of-a-kind exercises (upload circuit coaching or period coaching). Also combine up your weight-reduction plan. Try smaller foods extra by and large and upload new meals that you would be able to now not already be ingesting. Below is a hyperlink to much more recommendations to support you get beyond the plateau. Remember, keep it up and you are going to ultimately get beyond this and again to wasting weight.

Just keep at it. It does work, I lost 20lbs doing it. Beware though, if there is tomato in your soup, the acidity might start to bother your stomach. That is why I had to stop it.
