Try Infobel, and White pages in Finland. Here are several directories for Finland. You can get the Death Record for Tauno in Astoria, which should list information about his parents in Finland. And, you should from the Death record, be able to find when he was born. From that information, then get his birth record in Finland. That will list his parents. Once you have the parents names, and locations, start calling around Finland in the locations where they were from, to people with the same Surname.

There are 150 Kovisto entries in the LDS Family Search site too, and most are from Finland. This might give you some clues.
