I've been using Firefox on XP for almost two years without any problem. Compatible and reliable. With some add-ons, especially for tabbed browsing, (which are easy to find, choose and install) I find it the best browser I've tested (concerning Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer, Opera and Sleipnir). I warmly recommend it!

Yes Firefox is designed for Windows and Linux alike.

Firefox has no problems at all and ive not run into any other then a few memory hogs lol although Internet Explorer is the same.

Firefox is just a web browser for browsing the Internet. Once you are online (via dial-up or broadband) start up firefox and surf the web.

It has quite a few nice features in it like tabbed browsing, nice themes (i have one with the mozilla dragon burning up the city when the browser is busy), and nice search and security features.

I like it.

FireFox is designed for XP, you don't need an Emulator or anything.

Or course it will work, and I doubt there are any large issues.

But I would advise Opera over FireFox ... http://www.opera.com/download
