Yes... they do - but NOT to build nuclear weapons. The money is sent to the Ministry for Propaganda to educate the little Chinese boys and girls about people overseas asking stupid questions like this one on Yahoo!Answers which will put the fear into these littlies so they NEVER want to immigrate overseas and meet up with such persons.

No the chinese made there nuclear weapons ages ago. In fact they hold some record for being the quickest from one working model to another kind of working model although off the top of my head I don't know.
