No, Jesus is not hiding any more than a jug of milk is hiding in you refrigerator. When you are thirsty for milk, you know where to find it, and when your soul seeks the peace and security only Jesus can bring, you know where to look for that as well, but like with the milk, when your soul is thirsty, you have to make an effort to quench that thirst, and Jesus is always there to help nourish your soul.

Of course not you silly vile man! How dare you suggest that the Christians' Lord and Savior is hiding in the backyard!

(psst... I would look behind the rose bushes if I were you)

It only means you have to want to know him, and care about finding truth or not. He is easy to get to. He could hide, but has much more desire to be found, and seek out a relationship with you, yes, even when you joke about him like that.

You don't have to "find" Jesus. He hasn't gone anywhere. He's just a doorway away.

I think you're referring to "seeking". That means to strive to get to know Christ.

He's here. He's not far. You just take one step, and He does the rest.

God is immediately available to anyone REALLY looking for him, whatever avatar you look through (Abraham, Moses, Krishna, Jesus, Buddha, Mohammad, Baha'u'llah ...). People who don't find him are contemplating their own ego rather than opening their hearts to find the Lord of Creation.

No, it means that Jesus is there for all that are willing to accept (find) him. No searching is required, just an open heart.

When you search with all of your heart, you will find that He has been there all along, just waiting for you to open the door and let Him come in.
