I know this sounds like a stupid question, but this is my problem and I hope one you can help me. After I get home from my workouts, I'm usually so hungry that I'll eat whatever is quick and easy in the fridge. Not only that, I usually end up overeating. And then I feel like my workout was pointless. I do eat something before my workouts so it's not like I haven't eaten anything at all before them. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hey, it is normal to feel hungry after you work out. After all, you just burned off a lot of calories. It is ok to eat after also. Just make sure it is healthy food. If you weight trained hard, try to have some food with protein in it like eggs or chicken. Your muscles need to recover and protein will help with that. Don't worry about eating after, everyone does. Just eat healthy and correctly. So try not to eat "quick and easy." I know it's tough, but try making your meal before you workout and then just finish it when you get home. Or make a sandwich before and put it in the fridge. Just remember, at least your working out right? That is always a positive. You'll be fine!!!

Wow you sound like me!! Here are some things I have done that's really helped:

Work out later in the day. By the time you get home, you're so beat all you can do is shower and go to bed.

Put on Crest Whitestrips after you get home. You can't eat with them on, and you'll have whiter teeth too!

If you must eat, make sure you have something quick, easy, and healthy ready in the fridge. Bananas with peanut butter, frozen grapes, or a thing of instant oatmeal are all good post-workout snakcs.

Good luck!

Simple. Make your dinners ahead of time. Even a week or two in advance(use freezer) that whay when you get home you have something healthy waiting for you. Or you could shower at the gym then run errands or do something else untill the hunger passes.

As obvious and "stupid" as it sounds, oftentimes are hunger pangs are directly caused by a lack of our #1 nutrient...water!

PS: Nothing too cold.
