The same God created us and the monkeys so to Him goes the credit and thanks.
Monkeys did not learn to evolve. If they did there would be no monkeys in the world today. If given the choice, would you be a monkey?
You shoudl remember that even Caesar belonged to God, so all things that Caesar claims are not his to begin with.

It is irresponsible of you to knowingly suggest that we evolved from monkeys. As Zero says, "Quit lying!" It reflects very poorly on your personal morality.
On the other hand, if you are just speaking very loosely, and mean to refer to "monkeys" as our evolutionary ancestor (common to us and monkeys), then I would answer that we should thank monkeys, rather than a made up god concept.
As a godless atheist, I often like to reflect upon the beauty of nature, and marvel at the phenomenon of evolution, which has resulted in such wonderfully diverse life. I appreciate and enjoy nature - but I don't think I'll start worshiping it or literally giving to/for it.

We have zero proof that any kind of god exists. We did not evolve from monkeys!
As to evolution...science has the proof.
Science is based on provable facts, religion is fairy stories based on faith which literally means "belief without proof."
