The Bible is important as it reveals much about Jehovah; however, there is nothing to beat really communicating with him through prayer.

Prayer.

The question is really one that has no correct answer. Both are an essential part of a Christian walk. It is a question similar to saying which side of the coin is more important, the heads or tails? If either is missing, the currency is useless and won't be accepted by any store.

The Bible is one way we learn more about God and receive his instruction, and prayer is another. I don't think I could place one higher than the other. It's a good thing both exist for us to use.

Since the Bible is a "tangible" object, it is truly something one can take away from us. However, the channel of prayer is always open. So technically, there is no way someone can force me to be without prayer, hence I will never have to make that choice.

There was not a Bible for the first couple of centuries after Christ. There were letters that were witten to the churches and Gospels that were written by Apostles, but no collection of the scriptures into a single book.

Much of Jesus' teaching was on the importance of prayer. Jesus taught us to pray to the father for our needs and He taught us to be persistent in our prayer. Jesus never instructed His Apostles to write anything down, but to spread the Gospel by word of mouth.

Prayer is more important.

Prayer, becuase in the Bible it states the heaven and earth will go away and hsi word will still stand that why we need to hide his word in our hearts, because in the last days the anti christ will not allow christians to read the Bible.

Prayer.
Through it, I have the promises from the Bible, while though one has the Bible, one may not have a promise of prayer.

Prayer.

Why would I need a bible when i can go to the source.

People argue abnout the REAL meanings, the fact is the whole bible is ONE GIANT METAPHORE!!!!

There is no right or wrong.

But in my prayers I know what I'm saying and even if it doesn't come out right,
God knows what I mean.

The bible....no one could take away my prayer life, no matter what laws were in place. You can pray in your mind, every hour of the day if you like! It is much harder to memorize the bible on the other hand, lol. :)
