After four years of dating, my boyfriend dumped me via text message for a 19-year old (we're both 25.) And now, six months on, they're getting -married-. The date is set for May, so I don't think it's a shotgun marriage, I think they're doing it because they genuinely want to. Either way, this leaves me feeling pretty down, and as they say, misery loves company. So show me I'm not alone here, tell me some of your stories like this one.

And by the way, before anyone says anything, this isn't an issue of me wanting him back, 'cause I DON'T. It's just. . . wow, ya know? I'd just like to know I'm not alone, here.;)

I'm actually going through this exact same thing right now. My girlfriend of four years dumped me over the phone while I was on military assignment in west Texas for tech school (which is 13 hours away from where she lived.) Just a couple days ago I found out through myspace that she's getting married this year to her new boyfriend... Who was one of my old friends. That's fun, huh?

I am sorry to say but you are only fooling yourself. If you did'nt still have feeling's for him or want him back you would not feel like you do.You are obviously seeking attention so why not get the proper attention and go see a counsler to work through your issues of abandment which is exactly what you are experiencing. When my Ex got married I was happy for him but then again i was over him and let's face it my dear you are not over this guy.Good luck to you.And it is never healthy to wallow in your own pitty.Pick yourself up and move on.

I'm not in the same boat as you I was dumped 2 years ago, Part of me still wants her. But part of me is mad at her for what she did to me.

But it sucks to see them moving on with there life you seam to be stuck in a rut that you cant get out of.

yah, i dont want mine back either but it still kinda blows after over 13 years he's got a whole new family within 6 or 7 months. i guess he couldnt live with his own 5 year old so he went and got a new one. i was elated when he offered me pictures of our kid with him during christmas on his "family" vacation.

I've been waiting for my gf for last 5 years. Now I came to know she is wedding another guy. Well, I won't really call it cheating as she never promised me anything before leaving.
