Here's mine:
Exodus 11:4 So Moses said, "This is what the LORD says: 'About midnight I will go throughout Egypt. 5 Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn son of the slave girl, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.
I love it when God kills babies.
I also love how the last couple of times God hardens the heart of the Pharaoh. So really it was God not letting the Israelites out, and then punishing innocent children for something he really did.
This is when I stopped reading the bible for answers, and read it to have knowledge so I could show Christians how bad the bible really is.

1 Corinthinas 13:4-8- It was on my wedding invitations. and the last part of it is my screen saver on my cell phone- Love never fails. I try to believe that- some days it's hard but for the most part it's true.

Mine is "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those that love him ,who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
The reason why this is my favorite is because no matter what I go through, whether tragic or not, God has his best interest in mind for me. Sure, the tragic may seem bad at the moment, but ultimately I am going through it for my good and that in the end I will be better off for it. God is in control and permits things to happen that we may not understand if we do not have a relationship with God. It is when we have that relationship that we understand that we are in good hands and will be lead through the storm.
We must give praise to God for the bad and the good, because they are always meant for our good.
Matt

Don't know the reference exactly off the top but here is the verse..
"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, nor has entered into the heart of man, what God has in store for those that love Him".
I LOVE this verse, it is a promise, and gives SO much hope during dark times, and even in good times. Great question!

There are so many to choose from - I can't pick just one. Here are a few:
Exodus 32:27 "And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour."
Deuteronomy 22:28-29 "If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found, Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days."
Hosea 13:16 "they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with children shall be ripped up."
Ezekiel 23:20 "She lusted after lovers with genitals as large as a donkey’s and emissions like those of a horse."

Isaiah 55:12
12 You will go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
will clap their hands.
I'm pagan and I love the imagery.
