because your not entering into a deep sleep, your staying in the REM stage which is when you dream and is light sleep. hence less recharge.

Sleep is a time for your mind to rest as well as your body. With respect to your brain, it's kind of like you've been on a treadmill doing a brisk walk all night. So when you wake up the next day, you feel groggy and short-changed from your slumber.

It's called abnormal REM sleep, i would suggest you get a sleep study done to see if it is neurological
