I'm doing the Polar Bear Plunge/charity fundraiser. What can I wear so I'm not freezing but wont weigh me down

you are better off not wearing anything, or as little as is socially acceptable. what happens is that water absorbs more heat from your body than air. so what you want to wear is something you can get off quickly when you leave the water and into something dry. its the wet clothes that will suck more heat away than cold air

Try a spandex body suit.
