Zarra doesn't necessarily hates cats. She doesn't know what they are. Take Zarra to a few training courses and get her socialized.

One of the things I used to do w/ my Golden is take her on a tour of pet stores in the area. Introduce her to other dogs, cats, snakes, birds, fish etc. Let her smell them. Without any adverse reaction she got a big reward. Make sure the other participants are willing - you want this experience to be very positive.

Once she understands there is no threat she'll be more accepting and less tempermental around other furries.

My dog lives to put cats up trees.
He is a black Lab that was 3 months old when we got him and came to us already with his cat hating notions in place.

We have two rabbits and he gets along fine with them. He ignores them for the most part, or he'll stare at them until they nuzzle his snout. But when the neighbors cat is out front, look out...Cody can't wait to get outside and chase the cat up a tree.

He is now 4 years old and no matter what I try he still insists that putting a cat up a tree is the only way to treat a cat.

Keep Zarra around cats so she gets used to them. If you have a cat, put them in a room together for a while.

Dogs love cats, but cats hate attention, when the dog tries to pay, the cat will be angry, so the dog gets angry because the cat rejected it, then the war begins

Your dogs breed are both dogs that are used in hunting to catch small animals. shes still very young and could be trained not to go at cats. My mum has a cat and my dog is terrified of her so sometimes it not the dogs that scare the cats

put them in a room and make sure there's no fighting. they will probably pick at each other, but it's normal....my dog was jealous of my puppy when i got her for christmas and he would boss her around, but now since she' s been with us for a long time now, they don't fight and they play like their brother and sister.
