Obviously any cheating is betrayal of trust. Ask him about it, listen to what he has to say, and then decide what you need to do for your own self respect. Many people who cheat once, cheat again.

Print out whats been said and his profile as well so you don't look stupid.and find out who he was talking too as well and ask questions but presume yourself as a man and say my boy said this and my boy said that said towards the girl.Make up stories to get the person talking to you about him and whats been said .

Why would you even ask this question? For yourself, if you know for 100% that he's doing it - confront him if you need answers - if not, just dump him and move on.
