I am wondering how many acres you would need to be able to build a full 18 hole golf course as i am trying to think of ways to utilise my farm at this time.

I own a golf course which is 6808 yards from the black tees. It's 164 acres. You could get away with less acreage if you did a shorter course. Are you sure you want to be in the golf business?

I would say 200 - 300 for an average course.

it dpends if you want par 3 size holes or regulation size holes...rougly i would say anywhere from 40-250 acres...if you want them spaced out and long you need a lot of land..1 par 3 hole would take up about 1.5 acres...
