First of all, you need to avoid overly acidic products or products that dry the skin, thereby aggravating the situation. This includes retinol, vitamin A or vitamin C, alcohol, most acids, and benzoyl peroxide. Check your moisturizer to make sure it doesn't include any of these ingredients.
