I wanted a honda pilot or cr-v but the pilot was just to expensive and I don't like the new 2007 body style of the cr-v. There are no more new 2006 c-r-vs and the used ones already have 50,000+ miles on them.I am giving up on the cr-v but I still need an suv.

Something around $20,000 that will last. Good milage and safe for family cross country trips. I don't want a huge suv like the expadition. Something smaller m=and made for a lady. any sugestions

Toyota RAV 4 $20,850 - $26,420 new.
3.5L 269 hp V6
22 / 29 mpg
You can get the smaller engine too and get 24 / 30 mpg. Also comes with a 3rd row.

The redesigned RAV4 is our highest-rated small SUV. The V6 version scores at the top, the four-cylinder is second. It has a flexible, well-designed interior and agile handling. It is much more substantial than its predecessor, with a quieter interior, a more comfortable ride, and better fuel economy in the four-cylinder. Handling is agile and secure with standard stability control. The rear seat is roomy. A third-row seat is optional. The four-cylinder engine is carried over, and it feels responsive. The optional 3.5-liter V6 makes the RAV quick and quiet, and it returns only 1 mpg less than the Four, but in Limited trim it pushes the price up to $30,000. Front side- and curtain air bags are standard for 2007.

I might say purchase what you'll be able to come up with the money for and no longer a penny extra, you already know your funds greater then any one out right here. If you'll be able to come up with the money for the fee of gasoline, (which I feel goes to move down, the historical pronouncing, what is going up ought to come down applies) and the fee of getting a greater auto then get one. Maybe remember getting a smaller SUV person who will get greater then so much? however now might be the time I consider to shop for.

how about a hyundai tucson...you can pick it up in loaded Limited form for $22,245...not a bad car, fairly woman like, and does 19/24 for gas mileage. or try its older brother, the santa fe, with optional 3rd row available.....but if you really don't need a SUV (which im assuming, you don't) try one of many great midsize sedans available.....how about the Saturn Aura. critically acclaimed and a pretty good looker, its a safe bet for any driver.and its US built, thats gotta be a bonus. try it out before joining the fuel-wasting society

I love my Jeep Liberty, but the gas mileage is not that great. Any suv you get is gonna suck gas.
I have an 02 sport model with 4 wheel drive and have never had any problems with it.

There are alot of good Mercedes used out there. I would not trust any brand now.As they have all gone to aluminum engines, and suspension parts. Cast Iron and Steel for me, and my family. Been broke down to many times.Mercedes has timing chain, the rest are rubber belts.

You should look into a Porsche Cayenne, the only SUV worth buying.
