I would talk to my friend about it and see if this guy meens more to her than it does to you. If you have been friends with this girl for a long time then its not worth it to start a argument over a guy. It might also be a good idea to see which girl this guy prefers, he might not be interested in eather of you and then he would definately not be worth losing your friend over. If this guy prefers you then ask your friend how she would feal if you started seing this guy...If she gets really upset about it, then you have to decide who is more important...the guy or your friend....Also think about how you would feal if he said he prefered her and she started going out with him....But remember this works both ways so if your friend is really a true friend then she will eventually get over it and realize that your frienship is more important than this guy and will forgive you. If she doesnt forgive you, than maybe she wasn't a true friend after all. Hope this helps...

Remember that friends always come before guys. Whatever you do: don't let this tear you apart...stay best friends.
Just talk to each other and agree that no matter what happens, you'll be happy for each other, and everything will be okay. If one of you ends up going out with this guy, make sure the other is okay with that.

Talk with each other about different scenarios...and what would happen, including how both of you would feel.

Besides, you can't help who you like. No need to get mad or anything. ;)

You both leave him alone because all its gonna do is break up a good friendship!!!!!!!! If you both value your friendship leave him alone and find love in someone that you both share a common interest with cause if she dates him then you will say that you are happy for her but inside you know that you want be and the same for your friend so just don't even bother trying to get with him either of you.

I think that the best thing to do in a sit like this is to forget the dude. It'd only cause conflict b/w you 2, esp if one of the girls gets the guy...

Flip a coin. OR--have a pillow fight. Then have a threesome.
I once had a cutie kissing each cheek simultaneously, and it was GREAT! You only live once. Think outside the box, and make some memories. Best of luck.

Since the odds are you wont be marrying this guy you need to ask yourself if he is worth losing a friend over.

this may sound ridiculous but this happened to me when I was 13 and we went to the movies, the three of us, and then let him decide who he liked. he ended up choosing my friend and I dated this other really hot guy and we moved on from it. they broke up a few weeks later and we laughed about it.
