1. The rise of Islamic fundamentalism, particularly wahabi
2. Anti-western feelings (whether justified or not) and issues with the corruption of the ruling Saudi royal family who are allies of the many western countries, including the US
3. Oil
4. The long history of western imperialism
5. Oil.
6. Angry, disaffected youth.
7. The Israel-Palestinian conflict.
8. The War in Iraq.
9. Who gets the freakin' oil and who pays how much for it?
10. Image-happy media that use the term "terrorist," and breed the images that come to mind when you hear them.

Tell me this, if it didn't teach violence and hate in the quran, where do the Muslims from the middle east get it? Do the Muslims preaching over there just make up this stuff about the hate and violence? Muslims then look in their quran and say to themselves " Hmm I can't find that in here anywhere, so it must be true." It is their, its just that alot of the Muslim people choose to ignore it and then claim they follow a peaceful religion. If they were following the teachings of the quran correctly, they would be as violent as the ones in the middle east!

Worse for the innocent Iraq citizens, maybe, but only temporarily. You have to think long term and what the people of Iraq are going to gain by this. Things are bound to get worse before they get better. Have you ever known of any country that didn't have to struggle before they gained independence or freedom?
