I went through this before I got married and after. We were together for five years but I just couldn't get over the fact that although I wanted a baby, the whole thing scared the crap out of me (simialr to making you sick). Don't feel any pressure. Having a baby is an insane amount of work and you have to be more giving and less selfish than I think I'll ever be. I actually ended up pregnant (SURPRISE) and had a VERY hard time for the first 4 months. I was NOT ready for this and it was such a surprise. I worried that my baby would hate me for not immediately bonding to it (like everyone always talks about). I hated being pregnant more than anything in the world, but now I am so happy with my little baby boy. There are still times when knowing what I have to deal with and put up with I want to run away, but I love the kid to death as well. Do things on your own time. You'll be just fine.

I think it's a stage you are going through. I have been married for 6 months and there have been times when i want a baby and times i wanna wait and make money since they cost a lot... and times when i really think abt it i feel like i should wait many years so that i can be home with my baby for like a year or so.

I say try taking care of you friend's or relative's babies. That can help you decide whether you're up for the job. I can picture myself with a baby and how wonderful it must be taking care of them and watching them grow, but i just don't want to go through the process of being pregnant, and maybe that's what you're feeling. Just wait and see, its all worth it in the end, because having a child is the most beautiful blessing in the world.
