Few months ago i working towards being with this girl. She told me she doesn't want a relationship..So later my bestfriend tries to talk to her online as to why she dosn't. by accident he talked to the wrong person. he said why you trying to play my mans out ma? She laughted and started making fun of him. i later told her what he was trying to do and it was the wrong person. then my best friend started cursing her out and the girl i was gonna go with steped in and was like who the **** are you to say that. then my best friend threatend both of them and i steped in on their defense not his cause he threatend them. Now he will not appologize to them and he says he can't count on me in the furture to back him up. I said i took their side cause he shoudn't have threatend my friends from something that was nothing. Who's wrong am i or is my best friend. what should i had done differnt.

You are correct in assuming that your best friend should either apologize, or confess that he was the one making the rude remarks.
This has nothing to do with you "backing" him in the future. He screwed up and now you are in the "dog house" because of it. He didn't "back" you up.
