Banana Splits are really cute. Also on Martha Stewart's TV show about 4 months ago she made a cake that looked like a Monkey's face and many other monkey themed food. I think there were cups that looked liked monkeys. You might beable to find those ideas on her web site.

Make chocolate covered bananas. Melt chocolate chips with two tablespoons of milk in the microwave. Dip one inch chunks of bananas in the melted chocolate and put on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Do this a short time before the party, keep in the fridge until serving time.

make the cake in the shape of a circle, then make 2 cupcakes with the batter and put them all together in the shape of a monkey head and decorate it like curious george. you could also have banana's for the icecream or just get banana's to set around like decorations. you could make chocolate covered banana's even, or just buy them. they could be in place of icecream. you could make some kind of chex mix and put a label on the bowl that says "monkey food" or something. go to the store and find curious george fruit snacks or roll ups. that's all i can really think of off the top of my head for now. if i think of anything else i'll add it later. good luck!

I think any sort of desert that has bananas (like pudding with banana chunks) would be great. Also, I found Curious George fruit snacks, the chewy fruit roll-up kind at the grocery store recently. Maybe yours has them, too. Good for all kids.

Maybe bannana splits, pin the tail on the monkey! Some kind of game with a yellow hat tied into it! That's all I can think of! Good luck and have fun!

You really don't have to have food that goes with the theme, kids don't care as long as they are having fun, and their is plenty of food to eat.
